About the friends of whitehurst gardens

The Friends of Whitehurst Gardens (FWG for short) is a new group set up in September 2014 and based in Chirk, North Wales. The group consists of  members and supporters who are committed to restore Whitehurst Gardens to its former glory, for the benefit of the local community. FWG meets at least once a month to discuss how to:
  • raise funds for initiating the restoration of the gardens;
  • increase awareness of the site and support for the group’s aims among the local community;
  • expand the group’s range of skills in areas vital to the project, such as fundraising, project management, heritage conservation, and so on.
Anyone able to help or wishing to support FWG is very welcome to join the group – we're a very friendly bunch from all walks of life, united in our vision for the future of Whitehurst Gardens.
